Dear MOST,

In March of 2009 my husband lost his job. We were concerned but we knew that God was with us and we believed He would meet our needs. At that time I was homeschooling our triplet girls in the first grade. Our twins waited in the wings for their turn to start school. We knew the fall would bring the expense of school books for five children.

As Christmas was getting near we prepared our children for the fact that we would not be purchasing any presents for them. We also decided that we would spend most of our holidays out of town so the kids would not think so much about it.

Just a day before we planned to leave we received an amazing package from MOST. It was full of things for the kids and had several Wal-mart gift cards. We were SHOCKED! We had the kids so prepared to skip presents at home that we didn’t even know what they really wanted. We decided to pike the kids in the van and go shopping right then!

After spending several hours looking at various toys, clothes, shoes, electronics and home stuffs we brought the kids home and I went back out alone- armed with lots of knowledge and gift cards. That night, after the kids were asleep, my husband and I put everything out in the den even the stuff that we purchased for the house.

The next morning was December 23rd. We got up early so we could beat the kids downstairs. As they got up and came into the den they all started screaming “Santa came, Santa Came, and he bought all the stuff we looked at yesterday!” Not one of them thought we had purchased anything for them. And they never noticed that “Santa” had come two nights early. We had such a wonderful time opening gifts; toys, clothes, batteries, cleaning supplies, you name it, we opened it.

Thanks to MOST, that December morning is one of our favorites and the children still talk about it.

In the fall of 2011 my husband received a job offer. As we rejoice in this new stage of our journey, we want to give thanks. Please use the enclosed donation to assist and encourage other multiple birth families that are in need.
