The MOST, PreemieCare, NY Liberty Event
was a Great Success!

Liberty
On Sunday July 30, MOST and PreemieCare were the featured charities at the WBNA New York Liberty basketball game.

Approximately 9,000 people attended the game with over 100 people associated with MOST at event including MOST families, families of preemies, doctors who work with MOST, sponsors, volunteers, and more.

Attendees could visit information tables from MOST and the event's primary sponsor Matria Healthcare. Some attendees watched the pre game shoot-around, met some of the players, and even had their family pictures taken out on the court! During the fourth quarter, some of the children were chosen to dance the Cha-Cha Slide with the Liberty mascot, Air Maddie, and the Liberty Dancers. Some of the children with us this day were born as early as 25 weeks gestation ELEVEN years ago! What a heart warming sight to see so many school age triplets and quadruplets who started their lives in the NICU be so big and strong!

The personnel at Madison Square Garden gave MOST the VIP treatment. Attendees had wonderful seats, a great location, a great location for the MOST table of information and items for sale, and the players even signed t-shirts and basketballs that some of the kids brought. The NY Liberty trainer, Lisa White, is an identical twin, and both she and her sister, Michelle, chatted with MOST attendees and answered questions.

Maureen Doolan Boyle, MOST's Executive Director and Deborah Dolan Sweeney, MOST's Board Member/Event Organizer, were interviewed during the event, which aired nationally on the cable station NBA-TV and locally on the MSG network. The NY Liberty even won their third game in a row (lucky triplets) that night. Congraulations NY Liberty!

The event raised approximately $20,000 that will help fund many critical MOST and PreemieCare projects for the next year. We would like to thank the follow individuals and organizations for their generous support.

"Matria Healthcare is honored to be given the opportunity to support the fine works of MOST (Mothers of Supertwins) and their services throughout the United States since 1987 in supporting multiple birth families by providing information, education, advocacy, and networking throughout these tentative pregnancies and fragile NICU experiences. They are there for multiple birth families every step of the way, and we thank them for the work that they do on behalf of these precious children and their families."

Announcement During the 4th Quarter Dance

"Joining Air Maddie today are triplets and quadruplets from the non-profit organization MOST (Mothers of Supertwins). Each of these children was born premature, and as you can see, they have not only survived, they have THRIVED!

Family12

Throughout their infancy and up through school age, their parents have received support from MOST, which is a national network for families of triplets or more. Let's hear it for these great kids and for MOST for being there when they needed it."
