I have 9-yr-old triplet boys. For years my husband has been talking about getting a video game system for them (and him). I think this Christmas I'll have to bite the bullet and give in. Most of my boys' friends have a Wii. I have heard that they are great for 'little' kids, but for teenagers, playstation or xbox is the way to go. I only want to get one system that will last until they go off to college. For those of you with tweens/teens, any suggestions on which system to purchase that won't be considered 'too young' by either themselves or friends in a couple of years?

I don't have teens or tweens, but we have both the Wii and Xbox with Kinect. I would definitely recommend the xbox with kinect instead of the Wii. I enjoy the Wii and my 5 year olds enjoy the Wii. But my 8 year old and hubby enjoy the Xbox. There are more "big kid" games for the Xbox.
