Hello, users! It's wonderful to see your family pictures or avatars in your profile. I enjoy looking at your beautiful children, or your super-fun cartoons.
When setting up a photo as your profile picture, it's important to conform with the size restrictions listed there. If your profile picture is larger than 150x150 pixels, it causes difficulty for others reading the forums.
If you're using Photobucket to host your photos, then resizing your photos is easy!
Log in to your Photobucket account at www.photobucket.com.
Click on "edit images" in the menu bar towards the top of the screen and then choose "resize" from the drop down menu. Click on the photo that you'd like to resize and wait for it to load.
Make sure that "keep proportions" is chosen.
In the size box with the larger number, enter "150" (without the quotes), as that is the maximum size for Avatar photos.
The program will resize your photo!
Now click on "replace original" if you would have a copy of the original sized photo elsewhere. Clicking on "replace original" will change the size of the photo and you won't have to change the link to your photo. (If you don't have another normal-sized copy of the photo, click on "save a copy," view the small copy in your photobucket account, and copy the link to your profile as you did originally.)
Are you using another photo service? If so, please reply to this post, and I'll find instructions to help you resize your photos.
Thank you so much for participating in this community. Your generosity in sharing your questions, experiences, and photos is what makes this forum so valuable to many of us.
Warmly,
