You may not be aware of this but MOST has MANY member only online
support networks for a variety of different types of specialized
support... learn more about them:
MOST
Email Groups
http://www.mostonline.org/networks.htm
As
many women find, being pregnant with or already having High Order
Multiples (Supertwins) can be a very exciting, scary and lonely
place. MOST was started to help these families traverse the wonderful
road ahead of them. One way in which MOST does this is by having
online groups to meet a variety of needs.
MOST
Double Digits:
Has
it happened in your house yet? You wake up, hear a lot of chatter
in the kitchen, walk out expecting to see your “babies”
sitting in their highchairs with HUGE smiles on their faces because
they are so EXCITED to see you – you blink – and before
you know it, you’re looking at teenagers sitting at the table
fighting about who needs to be where at what time and the only one
in the room excited to see you is your dog?
Many
of us are at this stage in our children’s lives. We’re
out of the baby stages, and ready to embark on another new adventure
of raising preteens/teenagers. This brings on so many new challenges,
joys and questions. To help “ease” our anxieties, and
find support from other multiple moms, MOST is pleased to introduce
our newest email group, “Double Digits” for families
with one or more children 10 years and older.
MOST
QQS:
Otherwise known as Quadruplets, Quintuplets, Sextuplets and More
Specialized
support for families with QQS from the nations experts: the only
people who would truly know what your life may be like and can honestly
say “I know exactly what you are talking about”- other
parents of QQS. Currently over 125 families belong to this group,
where we share the experiences (trials and errors?) of raising a
lot of children the same age. If you are expecting quads, quints
or more or already have them in your family as a MOST member you
are welcome to join!
MOST
Special Needs:
For families who either deliver very premature or have one or more
children with ongoing medical, developmental or learning challenges.
Special
Needs families of higher order multiples are sometimes faced with
unique needs beyond the challenges of a multiple birth. Our families
have children who range in age from newborns to teenagers. This
group is open to any member of MOST who would like to share information,
resources, joys and struggles of raising children with special challenges.
We also offer information and support regarding 504 plans and IEP
considerations.
MOST Large Family:
This group is for any HOM (higher order multiple birth)
family of 5 or more children. It is a great group to learn how to
handle the daily issues of raising many children and even how to
take care of yourself while doing it. It is helpful to hear what
other families do about the same issues you have such as groceries,
cooking, laundry, chores, and the every day life with a family that
may be a bit larger than most and to just laugh and relax with others
who understand.
MOST
School Age:
Members with school age (K-12) triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets,
sextuplets, or more can join. Through this group the members can
share resources, questions, and ideas, as well as the challenges
and rewards of day-to-day life as their multiples grow older. If
your multiples are within 6 months of kindergarten or are already
in elementary, junior high or high school, we hope you join.
MOST
Single Parent:
This group provides support for families headed by a single parent
(single by choice, divorced, widowed, separated, never married).
It is designed to facilitate peer-to-peer support through the exchange
of ideas and experiences between MOST members who are single mothers
or fathers of high order multiples.
MOST
Regional Groups:
Based
on USA geographical areas these nine groups will let members meet
other families in their state and region. All families with triplets,
quadruplets, quintuplets and more are welcome! Not only can you
find families close to you, but even learn things about States near
you, that you never knew (like fun vacation spots!).
AC is the network
for the Area Coordinators MOST’s dedicated volunteers that
support families within their communities and this network allows
them to obtain and share information to make it easier for them
to do so and at the same time receive support themselves. They can
ask questions or receive ideas about how to support expectant or
new mothers, start a local group, support in navigating the growth
and challenges or local groups and the very basic but very necessary
support they also need to make life with multiples easier and fun.
If you would like to help other MOST families contact the office
(info@MOSTonline.org) to become an Area Coordinator. Your help would
be greatly appreciated!

of control over your life (through your experiences and time), you
too can have a great impact on others by sharing these pearls of
wisdom with the readers of SUPERTWINS magazine and/or by becoming
