TripletsOctober is SIDS Awareness Month

Educate yourself on how you can help prevent this tragedy from happening by visiting the NIH's Back to Sleep Campaign. Tips for preventing SIDS:

  1. Place babies on their backs to sleep unless otherwise advised by a doctor
  2. Do not expose babies to secondhand smoke or smoke while pregnant
  3. Breastfeed, if possible
  4. Obtain good prenatal care and take babies for regular recommended check-ups
  5. Avoid pillows and comforters and use a firm mattress in babies' crib
  6. Avoid overheating babies
