Important Message to MOST Families

MOST Guest Blogger

Dear MOST Families,

As a valued part of the MOST community, we wanted you to know some changes that have occurred at MOST.

The past year has brought changes of income and expenses to many households and non-profits, including MOST.  MOST operates on a very small budget, and the economic changes have deeply cut into the funds available for some of the projects and services we offer multiple birth families.  This past year in particular, we did not receive the money needed to meet our annual budget, and in February, we found out that we lost one of our major grants.  This was devastating news, as we knew this would mean making some very difficult decisions regarding the future of MOST.

In an effort to continue serving families, we have decided to put the publishing of SUPERTWINS magazine on hold until further notice. The magazine costs MOST many thousands of dollars to publish and mail: funds we don’t have now to use for publications.  Also, we want to let you know that MOST’s Executive Director, Maureen Boyle, has taken a leave of absence to attend to some family matters.  We hope that everything with Maureen is resolved soon.

The MOST website, forums, and Adopt a Family outreach program will all be continued while we scale back other areas of operation.  The office hours will be decreased some, but someone will be available to return calls and answer emails.

Working together, with your support, MOST will be able to continue our mission of promoting healthy deliveries and providing quality information and support to multiple birth families through the website, forums, and telephone contact.

If you have any questions, please email us or call the MOST office at (631) 859-1110. We will be happy to answer all your questions.

Sincerely,

Diane Wipfler
Chairman of the Board of Directors
